What this site is

La-Jolla-Cove.org is an independent visitor guide to La Jolla Cove, San Diego. It is not affiliated with the City of San Diego or any government agency, and it does not operate tours, own beaches, or process bookings.

Information accuracy

We work hard at accuracy: facts are drawn from primary sources, pages carry visible “last checked” dates, and time-sensitive answers (closures, seasons) carry recheck dates. Even so, conditions at a wild coastline change daily — surf, wildlife, closures, parking rules and prices can all differ from what any website says. Always follow posted signage, lifeguard instructions, and official City of San Diego and NOAA guidance over anything you read here. Use of the information on this site is at your own risk.

Wildlife and safety

Approaching, touching, feeding or disturbing seals and sea lions is a federal offense under the Marine Mammal Protection Act. Nothing on this site is an invitation to approach wildlife, enter closed areas, or swim in conditions beyond your ability.
